About the Speakers
David Goldfarb, CPA, MBA began his accounting career in 1989 after graduating from the University of Missouri - Columbia with a B.S. in Accounting. He brings over 20 years of accounting experience serving both individuals businesses. He is well-versed in all aspects of accounting and taxes as well as computer issues including QuickBooks and Peachtree Accounting consulting. He received his MBA in 2001 from Maryville University in St. Louis and also is an adjunct Professor of Accounting at Lindenwood University.
Kimberly Akuna, a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, has over ten years experience working with people of different cultures and diverse backgrounds. She assists individuals, families and small business owners in making life-changing decisions acting as her clients’ personal CFO. Presently, she serves on both the Business Development Committee and the Finance Committee for Employment Connection, is on the Annual Dinner Committee for the Human Rights Campaign, and is a member of the Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce, the Saint Charles Chamber of Commerce and the Gateway Business Guild of Saint Louis. The Saint Louis chapter of Events & Adventures selected her as their 2010/2011 financial planning speaker for their monthly informational seminar series. She attended The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
